Sharjah Workshop: Arabic Newspaper Design

Abeer Tahlac’s work at the AUS typography workshop given by Tarek Atrissi
Just got back from the American University of Sharjah (AUS) where I gave a lecture and a two days workshop, with emphasis on Arabic Publications design, particularly newspaper design. The idea came as a response of the very classic newspaper main page designs we have in the Arab world, and as a practical challenging experience for students to deal with heavy Arabic text and maintain a newspaper layout yet create an interesting Visual Design.
