Tarek Atrissi to speak at the 2019 Brand New Conference in Las Vegas.
Tarek Atrissi will be one of the speakers at the 2019 Brand New Conference, the highly regarded international conferences on branding and design, taking place this year in Las Vegas NV, on October 17-18.
The two-day event on corporate and brand identity gives the stage to some of today’s most active and influential practitioners from around the world. The conference is a 2-day event with 8 sessions per day, each 45 minutes long. The focus of the conference is about having the speakers share their process in the development of corporate and/or brand identity projects. More than a basic portfolio showcase, the core of the talks will be on the thinking behind the process and on learning what it takes to get work from concept to completion as well as learn about the driving principles of some of the world’s most successful design practices.
The prestigious conference will celebrating its 10th edition and anniversary. Over the years, it has been one of the most highly regarded events in the discipline: Past speakers of the conference have included design legends such Erik Spiekermann, Debbie Millman, Massimo Vignelli, Paula Scher, Michael Bierut, Lance Wyman, Marina Willer, and Bob Gill to name a few. Last year’s conference edition in New York City attracted more than a 1000 attendees.
This year’s event in Las Vegas will take place at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Las Vegas, in the magnificent 2050 seat Reynolds Hall theatre characterised by its stunning balconies and stage. The lineup of speakers consists of excellent designers from around the world, and include people and agencies such as Louise Fili, Wolff Olins, Ana Couto, Design Army, Steff Geissbuhler, Tarek Atrissi Design, among many others. The Brand New Conference is organized and hosted by UnderConsideration and is a direct extension of the popular blog, Brand New. Tarek Atrissi’s talk at the conference will focus on Arabic typography in branding practice, within the larger context of shaping the identity of the Arab world through design.
